    About Us

By normalizing discussions and equipping students with the knowledge and resources to foster their own mental wellness, Higher Learning Foundation (HLF) is actively combating the rapidly increasing rate of mental illness among students.

HLF is a registered charity that nurtures students' mental fitness and builds healthy communities. HLF is innovating the approach to mental health issues by creating mental fitness training and making it available to everyone, by providing scholarship opportunities, and by developing and beautifying communities through various projects.

In 2017, we offered our first scholarship opportunities to students entering post-secondary. We now focus on mental fitness and provide wellness education to students in the scholarship program and various schools in Canada. HLF’s mission to foster wellness is also manifested at the community level in part through the beautification of public spaces. In 2018, HLF joined forces with Paint the Peg and local artists for its first community art project. The program quickly developed into the 2019 Art Mentorship Program with the Seven Oaks MET School, a series of projects where students received mentorship from a world-class artist and created school murals
