    About Us

    Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 Countries and Geographical areas.

    Clubs are non political, non religious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds.

    The Motto SERVICE ABOVE SELF outlines Rotary’s main service objective —in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world including:

    1. Club Service

    2. Youth Service - leadership and career development opportunities including Career Symposiums, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards and Academic Achievement Scholarships

    3. International Service - advancing international understanding, goodwill and peace, financially supporting projects that meet humanitarian needs

    4. Community Service - the Club has supported several local projects and agencies through sponsorship and financial assistance

    The Assiniboia Chamber of Commerce acknowledges that we gather on ancestral lands, Treaty One Territory, traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, Lakota and Dene Peoples, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. Our drinking water comes from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, in Treaty Three Territory.
