SUMMARY:Federal Tax Reform Proposals – The Effect on Small Business
DESCRIPTION:The Federal Government announced a Proposed Tax Reform in July when almost no one was looking except for your chambers of commerce. The public engagement ended on October 2 however the Assiniboia Chamber along with our national and provincial partner chambers continue to submit opposition to these tax reforms that are expected to have a significant impact to small and medium sized business.\n\nTo assist our members in preparing for these changes we have engaged Adam Kilfoyle of Heartland CPA's to present the Impact and Effect these reforms will have on your business. Adam is a CPA who has researched and previously presented his report on these proposed reforms. Adam is an active Assiniboia Chamber member and participates on the chamber's Government Relations/Advocacy committee.This is a must attend event to learn more of the planned tax changes and your financial planning options.\n\n\n\nHowever this event will also include our video initiative\, to record individual attendees response to these tax changes that will be sent to Ottawa and presented to the Federal Government through the Canadian Chamber along with video submissions from across the country. We want the government to not only hear but see the reaction of the small business community.
